Meet our Family.
Water Spirit Spa & Retreats was built by Karen, Wyatt, and Rob Telford on Fishing Lake Métis Settlement, the land their family has called home for generations. Karen brings over 20 years of registered massage therapy alongside a lifetime of Métis plant knowledge, beadwork, and herbalism. Wyatt grew up immersed in Métis history and culture, and is a skilled interpreter, sash finger-weaver, and outdoor guide. Rob is the hands behind the land, he shapes and maintains the property that grounds everything we do.
This is not a retreat designed from the outside in. It is a home opened to you.

Water Spirit Spa & Retreats est situé sur la colonie métisse de Fishing Lake, dans le territoire du Traité n° 6 et dans le district 12 de la nation métisse de l'Alberta. Nous reconnaissons ce territoire comme notre territoire traditionnel, ainsi que celui de nombreux peuples autochtones, notamment les Nêhiyaw (Cris), les Denesųłiné (Déné), les Iyarhe Nakoda (Stoney Nakoda), les Anishinaabe (Saulteaux) et les Siksikaitsitapi (Confédération des Pieds-Noirs), dont les traces ont marqué ce territoire pendant des siècles.
